The crew · Fort Worth, TX

The people who
pick up the phone.

No dispatcher, no ticket queue, no rotating cast. Four principals who have worked together for years, and the same name on the invoice since the first day.

01 / Who you get

Small on purpose, senior by default.

OCS is not a call center with a local phone number. The technician who answers is the technician who shows up, and the person who fixes it is the person who knows your building.

The bios below are the ones the crew wrote for the original site, kept as they told them. The photographs are theirs too, taken long before anyone here hired a photographer.

01 / Owners

Oly & Dea Graham

“OCS was born… and a marriage saved.”

Oly was a senior consultant for a firm in Dallas when he decided the business model was not upfront enough about client needs. It sat on him until he had had enough. He quit, told the owner he was going to do this better, and started OCS.

The timing was not gentle. He had to tell Dea he was jobless and starting a business on a Monday morning, while they sat poolside at his birthday party with the last $400 he had to his name. He had put the conversation off all weekend. Just as he finally said it, his pager rang. A client. He called back to explain he no longer worked for the firm: “Great! Can you take over Monday?”

The old firm is out of business now. OCS is still here, still independent, and we still pay the taxes. Best decision he ever made.

02 / VP / Tech

James Barcus

“More a band of brothers than coworkers.”

Born and raised in Texas, James spent his early years in the Hill Country and finished school in San Antonio. His first computer was an Apple IIc, from before hard drives and off-the-shelf software, so he learned BASIC in order to write his own entertainment.

After school came the Navy: basic and advanced training at Great Lakes, Illinois, then a station in the “Pineapple Fleet” at Pearl Harbor. A brief stint in Queens, NY, then back to Texas and Dallas. He met Oly through his first wife, who worked at one of OCS’s first clients, more than 21 years ago.

He has been involved in most everything OCS has taken on: Windows 3.1 through 11, Server NT through 2019, Office 95 through 365, Terminal Server, SQL and Exchange. He leads network installs and rollovers, new client onboarding, network security and firewalls, virus cleanup, and server builds. Off the clock you will find him kayaking Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico and Virginia, riding a Harley Iron 883, traveling, photographing, hiking, spelunking, and writing.

Richard Lambert

“Security. Security. Security.”

Richard was born in Connecticut and raised there until he was 13, with three younger siblings, then moved to Houston for his mother’s job. In high school his interest in computers became an A+ certification through CompTIA, the first year the school sent students to test for the full certification.

He enlisted in the Army in July 2001, with his first day of basic training on November 5th of that year. He married his best friend Arlie in August 2002, deployed to combat in March 2003, and was medically retired from active duty after eight years. Two daughters, a 20th anniversary in 2022, and a house that also holds two goats, three dogs, two cats and a standing Friday “Coffee Night” fellowship.

At OCS since 2010, he handles management tasks at the Fort Worth office plus field and remote support: SonicWall and Unifi configuration, general network maintenance, server administration, and project coordination for installs and network moves.
